Work Update & My Weekend in Indy

So, as far as work is concerned, I'm still on the same crappy project, but I'm getting used to the fact that for the next ten weeks my life at work will stink, but then, at least it will be over. My supervisor is setting up a meeting this week to try to get me moved, and although I'm hopeful, I dont really see things going anywhere. Oh well, thats the real world for you, I guess.

My group members still arent that great, but my boss has started to notice. They left 15 minutes early on Thursday, and at 3:50 my boss came over to ask 'us' a question, and I was the only one left still working. He was like uhhh, where are Adams and Devin? And I said that they had left for the day already. He was not impressed with them, but told me I had good work ethics for not leaving early even when they did. So that was good. Friday morning they got reamed a new asshole by all three of our bosses, and it was hard to supress my laughter, but I did. Hopefully now they will actually start working and stop talking on sametime, our at work instant messenger, gossiping, and showing up late/leaving early. Time will tell.

This weekend I went to Indianapolis to visit Kristen and Amanda B. We had an absolute blast on Saturday! We went shopping at two different malls. One was in downtown Indianapolis, and it was super awesome. I found some really good deals on clothes too, which is good, since my wardrobe is severly lacking due to living in Houghton and having no where to shop. I got a new pair of kahkis for work, a pair of jeans, a belt, 2 pairs of shoes, a shirt, a pair of pajamas, and about 6 shirts for only like $150. Not bad. I tried to buy some new undies from Victorias Secret, but there selection sucked so I'll just get some here in Peoria next time I have a few hours to burn at the mall. Then last night we went to Broad Ripple...a crazy strip with like 35 bars. We had so much fun! Lots of crazy stuff happened, and we had a lot of laughs.

I'm working 4 tens so that I can have Friday off to drive to Appleton and stay in a hotel for the weekend with Josh. I cant wait to see him...its only been a week tomorrow since the last time we were together, but it feels like a year. :( And, not to jinx myself, but I *think* something very exciting/life changing just might happen this weekend. I believe this because when we were in Appleton last weekend, we spent several hours in jewelry stores, and a certain sparkly object was, infact, purchased. AND, on his way home from Appleton last weekend, Josh 'stopped at my house to *talk* to my parents'. I couldnt exactly say anything about this however, because Rose and Mark got engaged that weekend, and I dont want to rain on their parade. Plus, just because he purchased it, and asked my parents, does not actually mean much in itself until its actually on a particular finger. But, I did buy a wedding magazine while we were shopping in Indy this weekend....just to be prepared haha. He could hold on to it until Christmas, for all I know, but I just have a feeling that this weekend might be it. I'll keep you posted! :) Hopefully this week flys bye!
