Huh?

There are just certain things that you KNOW. The sky is blue, Alph Gams is the coolest sorority ever, there are nine plants in our solar system...but wait! Thanks to some stinky old astronomers, Pluto is no longer a planet, and there are only 8. This is ridiculous. I'm all for scientific advancement, but you can't just go around confusing people. I feel bad for all the third graders who learned last year in 2nd grade that there were 9 planets, and painstakingly created a shoe box and styrofoam ball replica of our solar system for their science fair, and now, they will learn its all a lie. Perhaps this is good practice for when they find out that nearly everything kids believe in, like Santa, The Easter Bunny, and The Tooth Fairy are all elaborate hoaxes conjured up by parents to elicit good behavior throughout the rest of the year.
