Offers

I got my offer from Cat Logistics this afternoon. It is in ML&T (Materials, Logistics, and Transportation) as a Senior Transportation Analyst. The details:

~My salary grade is 21, which is 'management' (undergrads hire in at a 19, and not often, a 20, and people who have been here for 15+ years are at like a 22 or 23). So, not bad.
~Good medical, dental, and vision that starts on day 1 of employement.
~Yearly bonuses that equal about 1 month salary.
~Signing bonus of about $2K.
~They pay for me to come down and be set up with realtors to find a place to live, and then pay for my moving expenses.
~6% salary matching for retirement, vested after 5 years.
~The salary they have offered me is very very very very very good. So good, in fact, that I may not get any offers that even come close, and I almost had a heart attack when I heard it.
~I would start with 3 weeks of paid vacation per year - 2 that I choose, and 1 that is set (the week between Christmas and the New Year).
~My job would begin on January 8th, 2006.
~I have until September 15th to give them my answer.

Josh has is phone interview Monday. Lets hope Cat Electronics moves quickly enough in bringing him down for an interview and extending an offer if they like him so that my offer doesnt expire before hand. Decisions decisions.

Oh my god, that sounds like a great package! I hope it works out for you.

I guess being the only young person to show up to work on time paid off!
