T Minus 12 Hours

Okay, the movers will be here tomorrow in the late morning. I KNOW I am forgetting things. If anybody has any insightful moving tips, please, please, please let me know.

On a lighter note, graduation went well and it was great to see all the family. And, as Heather noted, I even got interviewed by TV6...hopefully I didnt look too ridiculous - I forgot to watch it. My mom said I looked good, but its my mom, so you never really know. Haha.

Make yourself a little box and label it "Load Last" stick the things you will need ASAP in it.
toilet paper, sponges and 409, a few bottle of water, some snacks, a bottle of champagne to toast the new house, a camera to take fun pictures with, and to capture evidence with if anything strange has happened to the house, anything you think you will need right away.

Also, have an empty rubbermaid ready to pack the things the movers won't move (ie - nail polish remover, aerosol cans, lighters and matches). And have tip money on hand for the movers, $40 - $50 each is good, more if they have to go up and down more than one set of stairs.

And make sure you have somewhere to sleep tomorrow night - I thought I was just going to stay in my house, oops they packed the bed, and oops my house was super creepy with no furniture in it, I ended up on a friends couch.

Good luck!

Congratulations on graduation!!!! I bet it feels nice to finally be done.

As for packing....I agree with Alanna. Always pack some necessities with you. And definitely tip the movers. I even bought lunch once and breakfast another time. It just shows that you appreciate them.

Happy Moving.
