My trip to Minneapolis was good, but its even better to be home! :) On Wednesday afternoon we flew in and then went to the Mall of America for a few hours where we ate dinner at the Napa Valley Grille - which was absolutely wonderful! I had the carmalized Onion & Goat Cheese Tart as an appetizer and a seafood trio (blue crab ravioli, jumbo prawn shrimp, sea scallops and rice) that was to die for. On Thursday we had meetings all day and then went to Timber Lodge Steakhouse with our guests because it was the closest nice place, and with that storm, staying close was an absolute must!!! It was slightly refreshing to see so much snow, since winter here is mostly brown and soggy. (I was thinking of all you MSP girls having to shovel yourselves out of that mess though!) Friday morning we were pleasantly suprised to fly out of MSP on time (noon), but that excitement faded when we got stuck at O'Hare for 7 hours. When I finally got home at 10 pm on Friday night I unpacked and then passed out on the couch for the rest of the evening. The rest of the weekend was pretty relaxing - did some shopping, cleaned the house, did laundry, watched TV, etc. On Sunday the weather was beautiful, and I decided that I am ready for spring.
While Josh and I were driving home from the grocery store yesterday I started thinking about life and how time flys by, and how things seem to change so quickly. Everybody is always so busy, and even when I relax I've always got that thought in the back of my mind - the list of things I should be doing. As we drove we passed countless McDonalds and Walgreens and Dry Cleaners and Cell Phone Shops and Gas Stations on every corner. And so I started thinking that maybe the world was better before some of our 'modern convienences', like fast food, and cell phones, and dry cleaning...and canned meat. Before we were obsessed with terrorism and political correctness. I think people were happier then things were simple and people weren't too busy to take an afternoon nap. I'm begining to think thats the real key to happiness...simplify.
When we got home and had put all of the groceries in their place, I went into my closet and effortlessly filled two garbage bags with clothing I no longer wear for charity - and you know what...it felt good. :)

Hey,
Got your comment. I use createblog.com It gives me the location and IP address of each visitor. From there you have to research the IP address if you want more details. There are several good IP lookup websites to help with that... Just curious, how did you get my new site? I sent a message to the AGD list, but never received the message myself, so was not sure if it actually went out...
