Picking a first dance song. How hard could it be? Well, I spent all night listening to every song from Unchained Melody to Amazed to My Best Friend. Nothing. Its all been done, and I
really want something unique - and not cheesy. I love soulful folk music - particularly by unsigned artists and non-mainstream stuff. So, I stepped off the beaten path and started listening to stuff by some of my favs - Patty Griffin being one of them. And AHH HA! I think I found it. Its called
'Heavenly Day' by Patty Griffin. Also, keep in mind that Josh and I are signed up for an 8 week class called 'Wedding Dance' where we'll learn the basics of ballroom, swing, latin, and comtemporary dance. In addition, if we bring in our wedding song, they will customize a dance for us to accompany it. I think its perfect, but perhaps I am bias. Input appreciated. :)

I like it alot! It's a very sweet song, and it has a nice, romantic feel to it without being mushy :)
I have put Mark in charge of finding our first song, I am confident that he will find a good one - he's truly a romantic sweetheart and I trust his judgement. Although, when we talked about it, he said "oh, I know! Wang Dang, Sweet Poontang by Ted Nugent!" I pray that he is kidding :)
