Trip to Chicago: Okay. There was the minor incident with blowing through the tollbooth I-Pass lane (I don't have an I-Pass) but also a fantastic dinner at a very expensive seafood place called Nicks Fishmarket. Overall, its nice to be home.
Greys: frusterated me to no end last night! It was less of a two hour 'special' and more of a one hour show with triple the commercials smashed in. There was a commercial break approx every four minutes. Josh timed it. And, although juicy, it was not nearly as scandalous as I had hoped for.
Career Planning Meeting: Good news all around. I cant move for at least another year, but afterwords he sees me working in some kind of facilities planning role on a global level. He also said that there may be opportunities for me to move into the Miami Distribution Center management role for a year or so down the road. He is also slating me for an international assignment further down the road (I'm hope for in about two or three years). He didnt talk specifics but I would guess that It would be in Australia, The UK, New Zealand, or elsewhere in Europe such as France or Belgium. Possibilities exist for India, Singapore, China, & Japan as well, though they wouldnt be at the top of my list. Josh is excited at the possiblity of making an international move in a few years, which I'm thankful for.
My Current Job: Changing. Starting Monday I will be in the Peoria DHL facility doing a complete audit and overhaul with three other people. After that wraps up in a few weeks I'll more than likely be doing daily audits alone at DHL half days and here in Morton half days. Its a play by ear sort of thing. I'm also going to transitioning into working more closely with the freight forwarders and brokers. After the DHL issues are under control thats going to mean *at least* weekly trips to Chicago, and possibly monthly trips to Miami.
This Weekend: Relaxing. Enough said. :) Its supposed to rain so I'm going to get some laundry and cleaning done.
Memorial Day Weekend: We'll be going to Joshs family's for the long weekend. Josh's Aunt Kell is throwing me a wedding shower - can't wait! :) Also, Joshs mom got a puppy recently, which I am excited to see and I have big plans to stalk the MIA Best Man and force him into pre-wedding compliance! :)
Rose & Marks Wedding: We got the invitation yesterday and I'm making hotel reservations today. I can't wait!
Softball: Starts Monday. We bought gloves and a couple of balls to throw around the yard to 'practice', but we havent done that yet. Ha. I'll put it on the list for the weekend.
Happy Friday Everybody!

Sounds a bit stressful.. I hear ya on wanting to move over seas. I've always wanted to live in Europe and since I only know a little Spanish, preferably the UK.
Let me know when your softball games are - I would love to come watch! If you ever need a sub let me know :)
I blew threw an I pass too on accident when I was in Chicago!!!! OOPS
So, I am an idiot... I put stamps on 100 of my 150 return envelopes. The envelopes were in stacks of 50... You guessed it, I used one stack of stamped envelopes and one stack of un-stamped envelopes for the response cards! I paid $167 for postage and then I sent out the unstamped envelopes!! Sorry about that!! Only 58 more days until the wedding!! :)
