In The News

We're home and all settled back into ‘married life’. I’m glad that things have calmed down, that our thank you cards are done, and that the weather has turned towards fall. We’re counting down the days until out honeymoon (29) and have lots of fun and relaxing things planned for the weekends between now and then. We haven’t really been doing too much…Saturday we got up early and went to some garage sales with Adam, took a ride in Adams dad’s mustang convertible, and went out for a nice dinner at The Riverstation. Sunday Josh went golfing with the guys and I had breakfast with Melissa and Justin, and then I went shopping. Monday we got our new TV – a 32 inch Philips LCD Flat Screen – it sure beats the 20 inch tube TV left over from our college days! Tonight we have Spanish class from 6-8 – that will surely be another frustrating experience. Friday we might go check out the Morton Pumpkin Festival and/or Rib Fest and Saturday we are having dinner at Dan and Jen’s. Next weekend were planning a day trip to Starved Rock to go hiking – we can’t wait – it looks awesome!
In other random news:
We watched the movie ‘I Think I Love My Wife’ the other night and I’ve been having bad dreams about being a bad wife, our marriage falling apart, etc ever since.
We got a letter from the county saying our house was re-evaluated for tax purposes and surprise, they went up.
We signed up for MetLaw through Cat. It’s a program where you have $18.95 automatically deducted from your paycheck and then you have legal coverage for just about everything under the sun except The Dirty D’s: DUI and Divorce. Since we don’t plan on either of those, were covered. After the honeymoon we plan to contact a plan lawyer and make out our will. How responsible of us.
I’ve begun the name change process at work. What a pain. I’m waiting until after our honeymoon to do everything else.
We’re still waiting to get our pictures back from Aunt Kel & Uncle Tom – We can’t wait! Its killing us!
