Work Place Violence

So I'm sitting at my desk working and all of a sudden it sounds like a machine gun is going off below our office on the shop floor (our office is on the second floor and overlooks the shipping docks and packing stations). Everybody in my office was startled at first by the incredibly loud noise, and then were worried because it seriously sounded like gun shots. I think everybodys hearts were racing about a million miles an hour! So a few of the guys decided to be brave and got up and went over to the window (apprehensively) to see what was going on. Luckily, one of the overhead metal conveyor belts had snapped and that's what had caused it - and nobody got hurt, amazingly. But that got me to thinking...what if something like that actually happened? We work for an enormous global company...theres bound to be some nuts thrown in the mix. Ugh! What a scare!
