I don't even know what to put here.

My sister is in jail. Again. For operating under the influence of drugs. Again. Astonishingly, she was picked up last night after she drove her car first into a dumpster, then into a telephone pole ripping her front drivers side wheel off. She then got on the highway but quickly lost control of the vehicle and crashed it into the ditch. The car is a total loss. Did I mention she was so high she couldn't even talk. No, must have left that out.

So, this is arrest number three in a six week time frame...the last two times we thought she'd hit rock bottom. I'm not going to say that anymore. This time it's a felony. And this time I think it really broke my parents. Its a harsh reality - knowing your daughter/sister is going to prison for a minimum of one year with a possibility of up to five. So, please excuse me if I don't exude grace and fortitude while tackling life through the holidays. I've got too much on my plate right now to worry about that, too.
