As I've said before www.thecouponclippers.com is the coupon clipping service...theres lots out there, though. So, since that's what I know, I'll explain how that particular one works. There is no membership fees (some require them and you have to pay $$$) - you simply pay the cost of the coupon (they range from $.05 to $.25 each) in addition to a handling fee of $0.50 per order and shipping, which is just the cost of the stamp ($0.41) unless you order a bunch of coupons, in which case shipping goes up to cover the extra stamps. There is no mark-up on shipping. Hurray! To purchase the coupons just search for a key word, like 'Vive' for the shampoo. When I was first getting started I looked through all of the coupon categories (click 'Coupons', then search through the list in the left hand margin). Now that I'm 'caught up' I typically only search the 'Tracker' - it shows you a calendar view of what coupons came out each week. I do my ordering for the week on Sundays. That way I get the coupons in time to use them before the sale ends the following Saturday. This shipping schedule can be found in the FAQ's section. There are some coupons that I will order in bulk even when they aren't on sale just yet - like B1G1 Free's for Shampoo/Conditioner, make-up, etc or for high value coupons like 'Buy a razor get a free 4 pack of razor cartridges' or $4 off a razor (then I use them together to get the razor free or close to it, plus free blades) or $1.00 off toothpaste or cleaning supplies. Also coupons for brand new products - the company wants you to try them and get hooked, so they put out a high value coupon and then the new products are constantly on sale, so usually those end up being free (or close) also. Watch expiration dates though - you don't want to order coupons to 'hold' if they expire in a week or two.
Okay, so reading back over that I feel like a total dork. Oh well. As some or you are finding out, it really works and you can save A TON of money! Don't be affraid to stock up, either. Shampoo/Conditioner, razors, shaving cream, lotion, cleaning supplies, OTC meds - those don't go bad and can be stored for a long time (most even in the garage/attic). Keep the questions coming! I've got lots to share! :)
