Weekend Recap

Thursday: Booked our Alaskan cruise for the first week of June. I’m already excited!

Friday: Relaxed. It was fabulous. Oh, and I changed the layout of my blog. I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out.

Saturday: Cleaned and did laundry, then I took a nap while Josh played the Wii. Then we went out to dinner with Rob & Melissa (thanks again!) at Kobe. Yum. Afterwards we all went to the casino where Melissa & Rob taught me how to play Blackjack. Obviously, the fundamental aspect of get as close to 21 as possible wasn’t terribly hard to grasp, but there are a TON of other ‘rules’ about when to hit, when to stay, when to split and when to double down. About an hour after sitting down at the table Josh and I still weren’t experts and the casino was $125 richer. We had fun though, despite the loss. Afterwards Josh and I topped off the night with an exciting trip to W@lm@rt for groceries and then headed home to meet up with my brother who got into town at about 12:30.

Sunday: Hung out with my brother – went to lunch, did some shopping for work clothes for him, took a nap, made dinner, and watched the movie Accepted.

Monday: We got to bed a little later than usual, so this morning has been a little rough. My brother is leaving today to head back to Michigan, and my sister is heading back to jail for testing positive for drugs. It never ends.
