I know, I know…I’ve fallen off the face of the earth. Things have been crazy busy and don’t seem to be slowing down, so here’s a recap of the last few weeks and what’s up next for the newlyweds.

March 18th – 23rd: We were on vacation in Tucson. We had a great time with my dad. The weather was beautiful and it was so nice to just relax. Highlights: going for walks every morning and evening, laying by the pool, touring Colossal Cave, and hiking in the mountains. Lowlights: stepping on a dead cactus and having the spines poke straight through my shoe and into my foot. Ouch! Oh, and fielding a million questions about whether or not we have kids and if we plan to start trying soon by every single old person in the retirement community.

Easter Sunday March 23rd: Our flight home went well. We had just enough time on our layover to eat Easter dinner in the Atlanta airport (Burger King). Terribly romantic. Our flight landed at 9:30 pm and because of the three hour time difference we weren’t tired enough to go to bed. So, we head to the grocery store to pick up what we need for the week before going home. We get home and open the garage….ugh oh…smells like burning plastic. Turns out the water heater decided to go into early retirement while we were away.

March 24th – April 1st: Major plumbing project is underway. We have replaced all of the pipes, put in a new hot water heater, moved the washer and dryer into the kitchen and vented it and are currently wrapping up putting in a new kitchen floor. This was/is a ridiculous amount of work.

March 30th: Go to see house in Metamora. Fall in love. (MLS: 1093054)

April 1st – 5th: Cleaning, packing, and staging our house. As part of the staging process, we’re also renting a storage unit and moving a bunch of our things there on Friday night and Saturday morning. Later this week we are making an offer on the house in Metamora. HURRAY!

April 6th: Our house goes on the market! Hurray!

April 7th: Relax....kind of.
