Productive Weekend

Friday: We went out to dinner and then drank beer with our neighbors in their driveway. This is a Friday night tradition - we have great, fun neighbors!

Saturday: After we got up and had breakfast we went to post office, the Metamora farmers market, and then to the DMV in Roanoke. We had to renew our plates and change our licenses for our new address. Plus we registered to vote in Woodford county, so three birds, one stone. Not bad. Then we went out to lunch at Didley's Car Hop. It was a beautiful day so we sat outside at a picnic table and had really good burgers and fries. Yum! After we got home we got straight to work on some projects that we've been meaning to do.
Project #1: Paint the dresser I picked up at a garage sale in May. Its perfect for Josh's tools in the garage.

Project #2: Make artwork for our house. Until this weekend we didnt not have a single thing hung on our walls - mostly because I just couldn't find what I was looking for...so I made it! I may be baised, but I think they turned out pretty good!

Project #3: Then we organized the garage and cleaned it for the winter.

Sunday: We slept in and then had a lazy morning, sipping coffee, making phone calls home. Then we headed to CVS and W@lmart - where I only spent $9 on groceries for the week - hurray! :) To be fair, though, we're using a lot of food we already have in the house for our meals this week. Still, $9 for a week is great! :) We usually spend about $30. Then we came home and took a nap. When we got up Josh headed out to mow the lawn and I cleaned the house and did laundry.

Then we made homemade pizza for dinner, took showers, and are relaxing before another long week.

P.S. We missed Rob, Melissa and Justin ALL weekend. Hope you guys are having a great time in Michigan - and HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY, JUSTIN! We love you.

Love your artwork! I always see them do things like that on HGTV, and I always think that I should make my own, but I'm never brave enough. That is super cute!

Your stockpile is huge! I have been using your other site a lot. One week you saved me $110 and I only spent $10:)
