A: No reason, really. I guess nothing very exciting has been going on lately except work stuff, and that is depressing. I'm tired of work, tired of winter, tired of this crappy economy, but, who isn't?!
Q: What have you been up to when you aren't at work or being lazy at home?
A: Hanging out with Melissa (and Justin), Sandy, and Jen. A few weeks ago we met for lunch at Chuck E Cheese (my first ever trip to CEC!). Madison and Justin had a blast playing and it was nice to visit with the girls. We need to do that more often!
Q: How is the weight loss coming along?
A: Completely stalled. It's just so easy to eat all that yummy food that doesn't do my weight loss any favors, like Peanut butter and BWW. Today I actually decided to 'start over' and recommit to losing my final 13 pounds. I just need to get it over with.
Q: Done any good shopping lately?
A: As a matter of fact, I have. Last week OldN@vy online had a seriously great sale so I stocked up on tank tops, mostly. I also ordered a new pair of boots (picture below) which should be here Wednesday. So excited. Josh thinks they are hideous.

Q: Have you been watching any good shows lately?
A: Recently I'm really into My House is Worth What, Property Virgins, and House Hunters on HGTV. And Suze Orman, Grey's and Betty, but that's not new. I'm getting tired of J&K+8.
Q: Josh's birthday was last week, did you do anything exciting?
A: Since it was a Thursday we had to work, of course, but afterwords we went out to dinner at Granite City. Yum! I got him a book on how to smoke meat and this spring he'll get the rest of his gift, which is the actual smoker. And the weekend before Josh's birthday we had dinner at Sandy and Evans and had homemade pizza and a DQ ice cream cake for his birthday. Tasty.
Q: How are the taxes coming along?
A: Our taxes are fixed, I just need to print and send the amended return (you can't efile an amendment, which is lame). Can't wait to see what it costs to mail that ridiculous number of pages. I also finished my dads taxes last week, but am waiting to file until I'm sure nothing else is coming that will effect the return.
Q: Speaking of your dad, how are things going?
A: Okay, for the most part. On Sunday morning my dads best friend Charlie called me - he was having a really rough week. It was hard to talk to him because it just made me so sad, but it was nice at the same time. He really loved my dad, and he loves my siblings and I like we were his own kids (he never had any). I still cry a few times a week, but its in private, like when I'm alone in the car. Almost eight months, already. Crazy.
Q: Anything exciting in the works?
A: Not really. We've been thinking about some projects we want to do around the house, but all of them cost $$ and we're really trying not to spend right now. I *really* want new bedroom furniture, and in a better economy, I'd be buying it with our bonus, but instead its going into savings. Damn fiscal responsibility!
Q: Anything else?
A: Yes. Faren will have one year clean on Friday. So proud. :)

Josh is so wrong about the boots! Super cute!
I think the boots are cute too. I bought a pair of boots with suede/sheep's fur and I LOVE them. Kevin thought they were weird at first, but they have grown on him. For some reason I think the new boots just ugg them out. ha
