Northwest, Kiss My Ass

[Begin Rant] Every single time I fly NWA they screw up - delayed flights, canceled flights, getting bumped, ruining my luggage, you name it, they have done it. So, over Xmas break I flew down to see Josh in Grand Rapids, via Detriot. So on the way home I get to Detroit, sit around for three freakin hours waiting for my connection, and then, they have the nerve to tell me I'M BUMPED, and flights to MQT and CMX are booked up, due to the holiday, so the earliest flight they can get me on is 'tomorrow night at 6 pm' - let me remind you that its like 5 pm right now...which would mean over 24 hours in the freakin' airport because NWA is too cheap to put me in a hotel. So, I bitch, like crazy. After I have made a considerable scene, they give me a free travel voucher, and fly me back to Grand Rapids, where Josh picks me up. Adding insult to injury, they also RUINED my brand new (it was a Xmas gift) Ralph Lauren Luggage. [I sent it in to them to have it fixed, but seriously, when i got it back 6 weeks later I was still pissed beyond belief because I could have done a better job SLAPPING GLUE ON IT!]

So, today I go to use my 'free travel voucher', and not suprisingly, I can't use it for the freaking flight I want too...which is to come home for the fourth of July for my family reunion and a wedding. Apparently, there are black out dates on these sort of things, which seems ridiculous to me, especially since giving them is supposed to enhance CUSTOMER SATISFACTION! AND, because for some assinine reason, NWA only posts one way fares for this particular itinerary, by the time I fly from Peoria to Minneapolis, and to then to CMX (Houghton), and back, the total cost is $926. So, I'll still be coming home that weekend, but I'll spend half my time driving. NWA, kiss my ass. Thats all. [End Rant]
