Whats New?

Well things have been crazy here since I got back from Peoria. Ten days of vacation and then school started. And school is crazy. Here are the highlights of the last month:

1.) Josh and I at Cedar point - on the ferris wheel taking a break in the picture. Josh is smiling like its painful, but really its just very windy. We had tons of fun, and it was the perfect day to be there - not too hot (even on the verge of chilly at some points) and the lines weren't long at all!

2.) Off to the Detriot Zoo. Again, a perfect day - not really hot at all, so the animals were all up and moving around. After the zoo we went over to East Lansing and visited Laura and Darren for a few hours. We took them to dinner at Old Chicago, and then went and got some cold stone ice cream. Yum. It was great to see them, becuase I miss Laura like crazy. Darren just started med school at MSU, and man, does that look rough!

3.) Back home to Houghton. School Starts. The first weekend we took a little trip around the Keweenaw to see the waterfalls and go to the Jam Pot. The Jam Pot is the monk bakery out in Eagle Harbour, for those of you who don't know, and it is amazing. They make the best muffins/cupcakes/cookies ever. I've heard thier run bread is very good too, but I've never tried it myself. This picture is of Jacobs Falls, right near the Jam Pot.

4.) Lastly, a few weeks ago we took a trip to Bayfield, Wi to visit the Apostle Islands and the Apple Orchards there. It was such a charming little town, and the cabin we rented was absolutely amazing! :) We had so much fun, and definately didn't want to leave when the time came.
