Woo Hoo on the dress. I LOVE gathering. It is the slimmingest-device out there. I was so thankful for it since I was only 12 weeks post-partum! I too think simple is BEAUTIFUL.
I didn't get to comment on the wedding post before, so here's what I think:
-the candy is great because it combines your favor and centerpiece in one, anywhere you can save money is great
-have the ceremony be what you want, it's your day, same with the tuxes
-the songs are hard to pick, I had my song with JR picked out forever and the song with my dad too, the other songs I decided on the day before the wedding:) There are websites that have lists of "traditinoal/appropriate" songs, maybe those could help.
-Flowers are expensive no matter what, have you considered silk? If you can find them on clearance (like after spring) you might be able to save a boatload. I had all silk flowers except for my bouquet and the corsages/boutenierres. Silk flowers have come along way and don't all look cheep/fake/chincy anymore. Even places like W@lMart have nice ones occasionally.
