I had a carrier review meeting with very nice man from Chicago late last week. Anyway, while we were chit chatting I mentioned that I would be taking a trip to Chicago Easter weekend to play tourist and he got all excited and pulled a business card out of his wallet for a place called Da Luciano. Apparently its his and his wifes favorite italian restaurant and it is near O'Hare. So, I look at the card he handed me, and it says, 'Ask about our gluten free menu'. So, I asked him about it because it made me think of Jericho & Randi, and it turns out that his wife is a celiac and thats one of the reasons they love it so much - he isnt and said the food is fantastic. Long story short, the italian owners ended up having celiac kids and had to learn to adapt to feed them. Subsequently they figured out how to make all sorts fo delicious foods, such as tiramisu & cannoli (yes, you read that correctly), and pastas, bread, and pizza, etc to meet their needs. He said when they go they usually take home about $50 worth of groceries, since the owners sell the gluten free foods uncooked as well, for people to enjoy at home. And I just thought you guys would like to know about it. :) Their website lists their entire Gluten Free menu - its extensive. Here is a copy of the card:

I've actually read about the restaurant in one of my gf books. I've wanted to go, just haven't had the time. If you haven't bought tickets for Body World online you should definately do it now or I wouldn't plan on going. We tried getting tickets both Saturday and Sunday and they were sold out. We have tickets for this weekend (Saturday) at 5. Tickets are cheaper after 4:30...not sure why. I think it is because the rest of the museum is closed. I've seen it all before, so we decided to just go to the exhibit.
How did I get so behind on your blog?
-Great job on the weight loss!
-Save the date cards are an expensive item that isn't really necessary. Send an email from theknot.com (or whatever wedding webpage you choose) to let everyone know.
-The house sounds like it's coming a long.
-Madison is a CUTIE-she looks so much like Jen. Tell her to start a blog, we'd love to see pictures and stalk her too!
-I'll try the WW soup next time we go to Appl*bees. I like their WW items. The tilapia is pretty good too.
Hey...if you have time this weekend you should give me a call. Parma is coming into the city as well with his fam. Do you have my cell number? Email me... I don't have your email address either.
