A Note On How To Use Coupons

Some people get confused on how you can actually use coupons. Here's the rules.

You can only use one coupon per item purchased. Example: lets say you are buying shampoo for $3.00 - you can use one $1.00 off coupon per bottle, but NOT two $1.00 coupons on one bottle. If you buy 30 bottles of that shampoo, however, you can use 30 of the coupons. Make sense?
Unless...
1. The store has its own coupon, say $1.00 off the shampoo - W@lgreens goes this often - you can 'stack' the coupons. So, in the case, you can but the shampoo for $3.00, use W@lgreens coupon for $1.00 to make it $2.00, and then use the manufacturers coupon for $1.00 to buy it for $1.00.
2. Another time you can stack coupons is with BIGI's. Lets say you are buying the shampoo again and it is $3.00. You have a BIGI Free coupon and a $1.00 off any one bottle coupon. In this case you can also use both coupons. So, you buy two shampoos for $3.00 each and one is free, so we go from $6-$3=$3. Then you use the $1 off to make it $3-$1=$2. Many stores will even let you use two of the $1.00 off coupons (since technically you are buying two products) making it $6-$3-$1-$1=$1. If the store is also running a coupon as in the above example, you can stack that one on too, making it FREE + tax.

I seriously love these lessons Katie! Keep them coming! Since I went down to 4 days a week, and my pay got cut by 20%, I'm totally about saving more money.

Another store that lets you 'stack' is Toys R Us!! I've gotten diapers (Pampers that is) under $0.20 per diaper. That's a huge feat! They have the cheapest diapers and formula, which totally surprised me.

Last question: can you make copies of the coupons from the coupon clipping service?
