This morning at 4:37 am Josh and I slept through our first earthquake – a 5.2 on the Richter scale. The earthquakes epicenter was in West Salem, IL, about 200 miles South East of Peoria. Almost everybody I’ve talked to was woken up to their house rattling around, etc. But not us...too bad, because I think that would have been at least somewhat neat to experience. Several aftershocks followed, most notably one this morning at 10:14 am with a magnitude of 4.6. But I was even oblivious to that one – my office is above the shipping floor so it’s not uncommon for things to rattle or even for the building to shake so I didn’t pay any attention. Missed it again...darn it!

Dan and I slept through it too, but Dan felt that 10am aftershock. I, once again, felt nothing.
I totally missed it and I was awake! The local news said you could feel it here, but I don't buy it.
