Catching Up

Disney

We had an awesome time! I would totally recommend going in the off-season! The lines were really short – we walked onto a lot of rides, and the wait was typically always less than 15 minutes. Staying on the Disney property was worth it for the convenience of the transportation and FastPass and being able to just ‘go home’ at the end of a long day. But next time we go, we’ll stay in one of the Luxury Resorts. The Moderate Resorts just aren’t as nice as we had hoped. Also, the meal plan was so much food – but we’d do it again. The prices of food were outrageous and if we hadn’t had the meal plan we wouldn’t have eaten nearly as well as we did. We ended up ‘wasting’ a few meals and snacks at the end, but in the end it worked out.

Work

Is busy. There are some major changes going on in my department, and my boss is moving into a new position in the coming months. She asked me to move with her and join her new group, but my old group is fighting to keep me. We’ll see how things work out – I’m really torn.

Life

Things have been busy since we got back from vacation – last weekend we went to Jen and Dan’s Wine Party and had a great time. Then we headed to dinner at BWW’s with Melissa, Rob, Justin, Sarrah and Tom. Then it was off to the Rivermen game with Melissa and Justin, and then to Rob’s hockey game to see him play.

This weekend were going to mostly just hang around home. I’m going to cook a turkey on Saturday and we have to do a little work at the rental house on Sunday. I’m also planning to do some serious studying for my CSCP exam and clean my house. So exciting.

In other news, Josh and I are on a major challenge to change our eating habits (eating out, junk food, etc). We’re 11 days in. Things are going pretty well, but it’s hard!

My dad’s birthday is tomorrow. That’s hard, too.
