6WBM

For those of you interested:

The S1x Week B0dy Make0ver is sold online. If you buy it through their website its like $120. Its cheaper on ebay, though. I got it from Jaime, a girl I work with. She swears by it, and now I can see why.

The basics of it is that you take a questionnaire about your body and it determines your body type (there are 4 types). Based on your body type it gives you a custom eating plan - you eat 5 to 6 times (every 2.5 - 3 hrs) a day of very specific foods. You are never hungry. Never. In fact, its just about time for me to eat again, and I am NOT hungry (but I still have to eat).

LOTS of foods are off limits so it takes some serious dedication and willpower - for instance my body type cannot eat corn or cherries (which I love), and I cannot mix fruits and carbs. Once you are used to it though, its so easy - I do all my cooking for the week on Sunday. And after you've been 'on plan' for about a week or two and then you eat out (order whatever you want, trust me) it will make you feel awful (sluggish, bloated, tired, just plain gross) and it helps you not 'crave' those 'bad' things anymore. After the six weeks (or longer if you stay on plan to get closer to your goal faster, which I plan to do) you can start adding things back in like bread, milk, etc.

A typical day looks like this for me:
Breakfast: 2 Egg Whites, 1/2 a Banana = lean protein and fruit
Mid-Morning Snack: 2 oz. Smoked Turkey, 1/2 cup Pineapple = lean protein and fruit
Lunch: 2 oz. Chicken, 1/2 cup Rice, 1 cup Broccoli = lean protein, carb, veggie
Mid-Afternoon Snack: 2 oz. Smoked Turkey, 1/2 cup Hash browns = lean protein and carb
Dinner: 1 Crab Cake, 1/2 cup Rice, 1 cup Veggies = lean protein, carb, veggie
Snack (Optional); 1/2 cup peaches = fruit

I would totally recommend this to anybody who thinks they can stick with it. If you cant, its an expensive 'mistake'. Its more of a lifestyle change than a diet, really. Its been a month today and I love it. I'm down 11.5 pounds so far, and I cheated most of last week (but still lost 1.3 pounds). Also, once a week (like on Saturday night) I allow myself one meal to cheat - something to look forward to, but I still try to keep it in moderation. Now that I've been on plan awhile I don't feel like I need to cheat as often though - I might take it down to every other week, if I can.

I've tried just about every 'diet' out there - Weight W@tchers, you name it. This really works (for me anyway). I've never had results like this, so obviously I'm a pretty big fan. :)

Sounds really interesting. I think you are right that there is a "plan" for everyone that could work. This plan works for you and another plan might work for someone else.

I think I would struggle sticking with something like this. I do the same as you do and cook on the weekend for lunches during the week. It helps me eat healthier.

Best of luck....what's your prize for reaching your target???

It sounds like you're doing great! I like how it has you eat every 2-3 hours. That was part of my diet when I had gestational diabetes and I also never felt hungry. It keeps you from wanting to eat a ton at any one meal.

Let me know when you want to hang out! I don't have much going on until Christmas.

It would kill me I think. Really. But it sounds like a great plan for those who have willpower! And sounds like there are great results! Good luck!
